I am not really one to worry about page views or popularity but I cant help but wonder what happened a couple weeks ago.   Overnight my views went from 100ish a day to 3 or 4 a day.   Was I on some sort of list that I got removed from?  Was I featured somewhere?    It really isn't a big deal but I sure would like to know what happened, I am curious.

I have not read it yet, reading for fun is not my strong suit, but please, if you can afford it, give the author some love and get the book.   He contacted me about using the photo and really wanted to give the book away for free but Amazon wouldn't let him so, if you can, toss him the .99 and give it a read.

Since I get a surprising amount of questions (not that I mind questions) about use I thought I would post my "rules" to clear up any confusion.



Short version:

If it was submitted to an art category please give me credit, otherwise do what ever the fuck you want.


Long version:

The vast majority of the pictures you will find are totally unrestricted.  Consider these my small gift to the world.   That means, quite simply, I dont care what you do with them; sell them, print them out and shove them up your ass, use them in manips, websites, school projects, tutorials, whatever, I dont care!    That said, I would appreciate it if you somehow showed me what you made (maybe send me a link?) and I would appreciate if you gave me credit somewhere but you most certainly DO NOT have to.

You will notice that a few pictures are marked with a Creative Commons license  {CC-by}, all that means is that I would like you to give me credit if you use them.  Basically I spent some time on these and submitted them to an art category and would like my 2 seconds of fame.   


I post less than 10% of what I shoot so if you see something close to what you are looking for please don't hesitate to ask, I may have something you can use.   Also, I take Canon RAW versions of just about everything so if you want those, just ask.

Sometimes I will do some slight editing of stock pictures, if you want the clean version just ask.

I am happy to take requests and will do my best to get you a stock picture of anything you want.



Last thing:

I freely admit I am not a very good photographer so please don't bother to tell me that I suck, I know!

Does anyone play TF2?   I am learning how to run a server so if anyone wants to come check it out, please let me know.   If several of you want to play we could have a DA night or maybe artists vs. geeks or something like that.

Well, I finally did it! I got a real camera!  A Rebel T1i (EOS 500D or Kiss X3) it was my (close) second choice behind a Nikon D90 but I just couldn't spend that much money on a camera and I found a really great deal on the Canon so I just did it. I never had anything this fancy before and I am determined to learn the settings and not just set it to full auto and press the button.  So far most of the pictures are terrible but I am learning and do manage to get a few decent shots.    It's kind of sad when your toys are smarter than you are.  

I will post some of the more decent pictures as stock with the hope that maybe someone can make something nice out of them.
